The massacre of almost 50 Maidan protesters on February 20, 2014 was a turning point in Ukrainian politics and a tipping point in the conflict between the West and Russia over Ukraine. This mass killing of the protesters and the mass shooting of the police that preceded it led to the overthrow of the government of Viktor Yanukovych and gave a start to a civil war. History book on Ukrainian Neonazism released in Belgium

A presentation of a book investigating the bloody events in Kiev that started in February  and resulted in an armed power shift in Ukraine took place in Belgium today. The Odessa massacre

On May 2 2014, the southern seaport of Odessa, the Pearl of the Black Sea and the humor capital, saw clashes between Ukraine federalization supporters on one hand, and the neo-Nazi Right Sector, Euromaidan activists and football fans on the other. At least 46 died, with another 200 injured. 38 federalists burned alive in the Trade-Unions Building assailed with Molotov cocktails. Read more about The Odessa massacre

This work describes how Ukrainian nationalist groups have developed since 1991 to present day, with the focus on the history of the parliamentary "Svoboda" (Freedom) party (Social-National Party of Ukraine until 2004) and the non-parliamentary “Right Sector”, and analyses the ideologies, psychologies and methods of political action of these structures.
