President elections in Transnistria - 2011

Presidential election in the Dniester Moldavian Republic in 2011, took place on December 11 (first round) and December 25 (second round). This is the fifth presidential election in Transnistria and the first in which needed a second round, and was not elected vice president, whose post was abolished.

The election involved six candidates. The turnout in the first round was, according to the CEC, 58.88%, in the second round - 52.46%. Read more about President elections in Transnistria - 2011
