Observers CIS-EMO inform on conditions on polling districts

Observers of the International organisation on supervision over elections CIS-EMO go round polling districts across all Ukraine for the purpose of counteraction to falsifications and infringements of the selective legislation.
According to observers, on many sites there is no heating, also is noticed that is far not on all sites there were police officers.

Leszek Miller about presidential election in Ukraine: Yanukovych's victory in the first round - good news to Europe

Victor Yanukovych's convincing victory in the first round of presidential election in Ukraine is good news as for Ukraine so for Poland and Europe, the prime minister of Poland in 2001-2004, a member of Valdai club Leshek Miller has declared on Monday of RIA Novosti news agency.

According to the Central Electoral Committee of Ukraine, after calculation of 95,18 % of reports the party leader of regions Victor Yanukovych types 35,42 % of voices, the prime minister Yulia Timoshenko - 24,95 %. There is published the preliminary report from CIS-EMO mission of the first turn of presidential election, January 17th, 2010, Ukraine.
The international election monitoring mission that took place during the presidential election of January, 17th was conducted by Commonwealth of Independent States Election Monitoring Organization (CIS-EMO). Among the members of this organization there are many respectable persons with wide experience in the area of the protection of citizens’ electoral and civil rights. To Pereyaslavl-Khmelnitskiy vote under the certificate on death.

According to observers from the international organisation on supervision over elections CIS-EMO on polling districts some voters have come to Pereyaslavl-Khmelnitskiy (the Kiev region) on polling districts with certificates on death of the for a long time died relatives and have found out them in lists of voters. Some even managed to receive on their surname bulletins for voting. As on 71 (Pereyaslavl-Khmelnitskiy) a site the people who are not appearing in lists, but living in the nearby houses concerning other UIK, have freely received bulletins for the reason that «it here to vote more conveniently. On 219 polling district (Kiev) on have admitted the international observers from organisation CIS-EMO

According to observers from the international organisation on supervision over elections CIS-EMO on polling districts in the Kiev area mass confusion with lists of voters is observed. So in Belotserkovsky area of 23 rural Wicks could not begin in time work of that on the eve of day of voting lists of voters in which there were many nonexistent people have been replaced. In Irpen the international observers check the information that the nonexistent voters ostensibly living to nonexistent addresses are included in lists. Even in the Kiev, in Dneprovsky area, a file of Rusanovka, district №217 UIK№100, the woman living on the same place about 50 years, from them under a surname of the husband could not vote 33 years. The Central Electoral Committee of Ukraine has registered 246 international observers from CIS-EMO

The central election committee of Ukraine has registered more than thousand international observers behind presidential election in Ukraine. Total number of representatives of the different countries and the international organisations which will watch a course of elections, has already reached 2688.
In total 256 observers from the foreign states and 2432 from the international public organisations are at present registered. In particular, at the Central Electoral Committee session, taken place on Saturday on January, 9th, 96 observers from Poland, on one representative from Kazakhstan and Canada, on two - from Russia and Lithuania, on three - from Norway and France have been registered. Election monitoring in Abkhazia

On 12 of December, 2009 in 8 am was starting the presidential elections of Abkhazia – the first in the country after the international recognition have begun. 174 election committees have been opened, the right to voting had 127 thousand citizens of Abkhazia. It has not been registered any gross infringement of the law on elections. The situation in Suhum remained quiet throughout all day of voting.
For a post of the president of republic Abkhazia five, including the present president of republic Sergey Bagapsh competed. Among its competitors the former vice-president and prime minister Raul Hadzhimba, the director of Abkhazian Sea Shipping company Zaur Ardzinba, the doctor of philosophy Vitaly Bganba, and also the known businessman Beslan Butba, the owner of the Abaza TV. Both for Russia, and for Germany, and for all Europe, a problem of media space and its influence on electoral processes – a key question of preservation of a genuine democracy. It is obvious that to carry on dialogue with parties in power of this or that country on this question, it all the same what to try to adjust negotiations between a lamb and a hungry wolf, result one – return to the general words. On the 10th of December, 2009, at 16.00 has taken place the conference «ARE WE VOTING FOR DEMOCRACY?» in Berlin . The conference was organized by Russian non-governmental organisations, members of association «Civil control» - «The European Club of Professionals» and CMDP "Quorum", with assistance of party «Die Linke» (Germany). From the German party in conference work have taken part: Hans Modrow (ex-prime minister of GDR, the chairman «Council of Seniors» of party «Die Linke»), Wolfgang Gerke (the deputy of the Bundestag, the secretary of party «Die Linke» on the international affairs, the vice-president of committee on Bundestag foreign policy), Alexander Neu (the adviser of parliamentary fraction «Die Linke» on safety issues and foreign policy), political scientists, experts, journalists. On February, 28th in Academy of the state and municipal management at the President of Republic Tatarstan has taken place the round table talk on a theme «Public institutes in selective process, experience of Russia and France». Visit of the international observers to Volgograd regional Duma elections

At an election day to Volgograd region there have arrived international observers, including representatives of the European Union. Martin Friedrich, the employee of the device of European Parliament, has visited on several polling districts and ascertained that elective process is organised in region at high level.
