History book on Ukrainian Neonazism released in Belgium

A presentation of a book investigating the bloody events in Kiev that started in February  and resulted in an armed power shift in Ukraine took place in Belgium today. The Odessa massacre

On May 2 2014, the southern seaport of Odessa, the Pearl of the Black Sea and the humor capital, saw clashes between Ukraine federalization supporters on one hand, and the neo-Nazi Right Sector, Euromaidan activists and football fans on the other. CIS-EMO says by-elections should be rescheduled due to political situation in Ukraine

The CIS-EMO International Election Monitoring Organization has said that the by-elections to the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, in at least two constituencies – No. 223 in Kyiv and No. 94 in Obukhiv (Kyiv region) – should be rescheduled in connection with the current political situation in Ukraine, CIS-EMO Head Alexander Bedritsky said at a press conference hosted by Interfax-Ukraine on December 11. Mr Kochetkov, a frequent participant in conferences in the European Parliament, said, "One of the points of Mr Fule’s document clearly and unambiguously requires the Ukrainian authorities to remedy the deficiencies of the parliamentary elections, including those connected with the failure to calculate the election results in five single-mandate constituencies.”

The voters of Ukraine ultimately lost an opportunity to have transparent and democratic elections in the foreseeable future. Most of the recommendations of the ODIHR and the Venice Commission regarding changes to the electoral law in the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine disregarded. Instead of the required by European Union "quick steps" to upgrade the existing Ukrainian electoral system, the symbiosis of government and opposition performs something quite different – the highest possible inhibition of the reform and persistent attempts to "drag out" any progress. The Rouhani Surprise

The only thing we learn from Iranian elections, to paraphrase George Bernard Shaw, is that we do not learn from Iranian elections. International observers will continue to monitor the electoral process in Ukraine

The mission of the organization to monitor the elections CIS-EMO has decided to continue to monitor the election process in Ukraine. "We have decided to continue to monitor, we will not turn off long-term mission in the next few months," - said General Director of CIS-EMO Alexei Kochetkov. He explained that the observers are going to keep track of the situation in the five constituencies where CEC found it impossible to establish the reliability of the election results.
